Licensing laws start out all ‘kumbaya’ and ‘marshmallows’ by the fire but then it all turns nasty. It’s called ‘government control of business’ and it’s final destination is always … the end of business.

Can’t let the market regulate itself, no way, people might get bad haircuts, can’t have that.

Many times licensing is encouraged by entrenched big business or professions as a way to … control, limit and/or stop competition. Big government goes along with it … after all, it means more control over business for the government.
